he who has denied the truth will have to bear [the burden of] his denial, whereas all who did what is right and just will have made goodly provision for themselves
Those who reject Faith will suffer from that rejection: and those who work righteousness will spread their couch (of repose) for themselves (in heaven)
Those who disbelieved will suffer from their disbelief, and those who have done righteous deeds will prepare a good place (in Paradise) for themselves,
Whoever disbelieves, his unbelief is charged against him. Whereas those who (believe and) do good, righteous deeds, they make provision for themselves (of a happy, everlasting life)
Whoever disbelieves, then his disbelief will be (charged) against him; and whoever does righteousness, then for themselves they are gaining access (to the Garden)
Those who reject Faith (now) will be in pain because of that rejection (then): And those who work righteousness will spread their resting place for themselves (in heaven)
Those who disbelieved will bear the burden of their disbelief, and those who have done good deeds will be made ready for their home in paradise
Dr. Munir Munshey
The (punishment of) disbelief is upon the one who disbelieves. And those who do good deeds are actually clearing their way (to paradise)
Dr. Kamal Omar
Whosoever disbelieved, then his disbelief goes against him; and whoever performed righteous deeds so they prepare an (ideal) abode for their own selves
He who rejects the Truth, the responsibility for that rejection shall lie on him himself. And all those who do good deeds, they are making a good preparation for themselves
Controversial, deprecated, or status undetermined works
Whoever disbelieves, disbelieves to the detriment of his own soul, while those who lead a righteous life, do so to strengthen and develop their own souls.
Ahmed Raza Khan (Barelvi)
Whoso commits infidelity, the burden of his disbelief is on him and those who do good, they are preparing for themselves.
So that those who disbelieve will pay for their disbelief while those who do righteous deeds will find that they have made provisions for their own good
Whoever disbelieves will himself face the (evil consequences) of disbelief, whilst those who act piously are setting aright for themselves the places of rest (in Paradise)
Whosoever disbelieves will suffer from his disbelief, and whosoever does righteous good deeds (by practising Islamic Monotheism), then such will prepare a good place (in Paradise) for themselves (and will be saved by Allah from His Torment)
Whoever shall have been an unbeliever, on Him shall his unbelief be charged; and whoever shall have done that which is right, shall spread themselves couches of repose in paradise
he who has denied the truth will have to bear the consequences of his denial, whereas those who did what is right will have smoothed a way [to paradise] for themselves.
Whoever denies, his denial is at his own expense... And who ever believes and fulfills the requisites of his faith, he would have prepared (the results of his good deeds) for his own self.
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
Whoever disbelieves, his unbelief shall be (charged) against him, and whoever does good deed, for their own selves they are preparing
Al-muntakhab fi tafsir al-Qur'an al-Karim
And he who denies Allah's system of faith and worship or incorporates with Him other deities shall find that the consequence of his infidelity rebounds back on him. And those who imprint their deeds with wisdom and piety, simply pave the way for a blissful abode in the beatitude of heaven, Allah willing
Whoever rejects (the truth), then on him is (the responsibility of) his rejection, and whoever does righteous work, then they prepare a (good) habitation for themselves,
